Plagiarists - Liars, Cheats, Copycats and Thieves

Friday, February 06, 2009 9 comments

plagiarismLiars, cheats, copycats and thieves come in many forms, but since the Internet has come into play, there has been a steep rise in one particular liar, cheat and thieve, and that is Plagiarists. The Internet has made it so easy to gather information on any subject of your choosing, and to easily copy that information, including an entire Website, with a few short clicks on your keyboard - to use as your own.

I have two blogs which are less than a year old, “Valley of the Subconscious “, and “Open Your Heart to the Love”, both of which I work very hard on. The articles I write and display there, are both researched, and come from my heart and soul. Unfortunately, in the short time since they were born, I have run into plagiarists a couple of times. The last time was from a member of this site. The article is titled, “Toxic Humans”, and was stolen from my article titled, “Don’t Let Toxic People Thrive on You”, I have to chuckle to myself as I think about how ironic it is, that a “toxic person” would steal an article that talks about not allowing, that very person, to thrive on you. It appears that this article was admired by several people, as the first comment left there was a request to use it. To which I responded with an unyielding “No” - they are my words.

Ms. Smith, while I am flattered that you admired my article so much it lead you to steal my words, however, you stole part of my soul - a part of me, and I must insist that you remove this article, and my words from your blog on this site, and any other site you have seen fit to post them.

For those of you that have sites, or write articles for the Internet, there are some tools that you can utilize to find the liars, cheats and thieves that go by the name of plagiarists, to not only find, but also to pursue those that choose this form of thievery.

Thanks for that information. It is useful. You are so right on. It is hard work to create original content. And original content is the backbone of blogging.

I just joined copy alert. Wish I knew about this service with my previous blogs. Yeah, thanks for this info.

Someone would have to be in really bad shape to copy my content, not that I'm saying my blog is crap. LOL

As a retired college professor, I can tell you that students today see little wrong with stealing the ideas of others (plagiarism). They understand theft of property, money, etc. but trying to get them to understand the ethical horror of taking a writer's ideas and words and presenting them as one's own was always an incredibly difficult job.

Your site makes my heart to beat faster - sits back in awe. You gave a birth to dream to see my link on your honorable site one day. Wow, that would be great.
What relates to plagiarists, they look ugly out of itself,of course, yet they hurt only themselves in essence, because it is impossible to thieve the inner peace/the spiritual light that enlightened the road of those who have grasped not the words but the message of the artists. So to speak, the Plagiarists consciously choose the deafness as their way of life. That's the darkness/the "background"/the building bricks that are used by all the artist to create the picture that calls to awake

every word we know has already been created and used, so by default everything we write is second hand.

It allows beings to make sense of world in different ways, and to represent it in ways that are significant to them, or which accord with their objectives. It was not very easy to percept such a clever person. Not many people amongst our passers-by would try to boast of their own degree. It takes time.
